Dear seniors.

How much "stretch" is commonly found in the bracelet?

There is no such thing a stretch its wear what happens if bracelets are not kept clean and worn too loose. The dirt grim sweat from normal wearing gets around the link pins and friction from wearing elongates these holes hence the so called stretch. Now some of my oyster bracelets are 20 plus years old and have had a hard life compared to today's pampered Rolex watches. Yet show very very little sign of wear simply because they were kept clean and properly maintained.

Dear young gentlemen (as requested)

Mine comes with a little stretch and wondering if the gmt bracelet tends to be that way after five years (my model is five years old.)

Most bracelets will exhibit some wear after 5 years.. As mentioned, it is that wear on the connecting pins and inside the links that account for a bracelet that is "stretched" longer than it was originally.

I will be wearing a 15 year old Explorer II while exploring castles and sights around the UK over the next couple of weeks, and it is still on the same settings to fit my wrist as it was when I bought it. The links do move more freely than they used to, but the overall length is still within a 16th of an inch of when new..

Keep them clean and they will last for decades..

I have an all black Y-series GMT-II that gets about 95% of my wrist time. It wears the same today as it did when I bought it 10 years ago. No "stretch" that I can detect. Here's mine:

GMT Pepsi is a great tool watch and not too flashy. I love the classic look.
