pam 113
hello everyone,
so i finally picked up my very first panerai the other day. i've been eyeing the pam 113 for a very long time now, and decided it was time to pull the trigger and bring it home. i paid a pretty penny for it (retail), but the most amazing part of it is that i have absolutely zero buyer's remorse, and am so glad i own this watch! my watch is one of 500 pieces created for this year (i have the P series, and i believe that corresponds with the year 2013). i've seen pam 113's from earlier years such as 2005 which were one out of 1000 pieces created for that year. my question is: why did panerai decide to cut the number of 113s to 500 from 1000? does panerai do something like this for other models as well? could it be due to lackluster sales or because they want to preserve the value of this particular model? thanks again! would love to get pictures soon as i don't have any at the moment. but i'm sure you guys all know what a pam 113 looks like by now! |

Congrats and post pics when you can!
Production numbers usually vary for each series to balance the market. Nothing to over think really. Sometimes it's 500, 800, 1,000, 1,500.... Enjoy the 113! |

Congrats on the 113.....it has always been a great looking watch.
I am taking a guess in order to answer your question.....Since Panerai has sold less White dialed watches since the "A" series til now, they may have cut back the number for the edition to 500 from 1000. Elliot |

Congrats on the great looking watch...do yourself a favor and pick up a JV strap as soon as possible...you will not be disappointed as they look great together.

what are JV straps? i apologize for the ignorance - in fact, i didn't even realize straps were a big deal when i bought a panerai! i didn't know that owners mix-and-match different varieties. i suppose that's another passion i'll soon get into!!

JV strap is short for Jules Verne or the alligator nubuck strap from Panerai...i would recommend you go to the Panerai website and check out all the straps they have to offer. Aftermarket straps are also a great option to the OEM straps and much cheaper. I may be off on my estimate, but I would say your average PAM owner has between 6 to 12 different straps...be careful straps can get get addictive.
I owned the 113 for over a year and that watch made most straps looks look great!!! Have fun....
