NEW to AP. DUAL TIME
I recently was able to get my first AP. I chose to get a AP dual time SS in black as the GMT feature is what I need.
My wrist is not big with barely 6.5 inches, so the watch size is perfect. I wear the watch everyday and have got used to it. Couple of things to note are 1. No second hand. This is weird as I cant tell how much seconds I'm gaining or losing per day or tell if the watch is running lol 2. scratches very easily. This I dont mind as I wear this watch everyday. But recently i banged it lightly on a door and there are three big dents on the edge of the bezel. 3. the luminescence is not bright at all. I dont know if any other AP watch is like this, but unless I put the watch in front of direct light for a couple of minutes, I can barely tell time in the dark. 4. No one recognizes this watch at all. Only one person has asked about it and that was at a rolex AD. I hope to get another AP soon or maybe a nautilus next. Will try to add pictures later if I find out how. |

Looks great on you! Lume isn't great on most APs, if not a Diver then it doesn't have to be a torch, and yes it picks up marks easily, the price of beauty alas. I understand the seconds hand issue, without it moving it does seem like the watch isnt fully alive, that's why I run the chronos on mine, don't like the frozen seconds hand.

Looks beautiful. Don't worry about the scratches...the second hand is always preferable. Under the radar is a positive instead of a negative.
Wear it in good health and Enjoy! |

Im loving every minute of it!
Feels just like my daytona. belongs on a wrist and not in a box. Im just surprised that the dual time isnt preferred or loved as much as a chrono. |

I find the dual time the most useful complication. The black dial looks the best to me too!
Those dings show that it is really well loved by you as you WEAR it! It serves its mission |

One of the most underrated Royal Oak IMO. Big congrats!
Anyway, scratches are unavoidable (yours are not anything near serious), enjoy her to the maximum!

Accurate observations as I've discovered the same in the last week. I went for the white face but find the black beautiful as well.

Congrats and thanks for the "real life" observations. I recall when I had my Rubberclad that the lume was weak at best, so not too thrilled hearing that it will be similar in this instance (I tend not to sleep to well and end up wanting to know the time at odd hours in the dark...). Hopefully I can do the transaction in the next couple of days and be another dual timer!
