AP vs.... VC & PP
Stopped by to check out the other players ... The tourneau guy was trying to convince me that the VC had an in house movement =)
The PP... well, for $67k it caught my eye The Genta boys... I love this bracelet Cheers! |

most people here are bias because of brand. especially PP. even PP make ugly watch people will say "wowww its beautifull" funny, but its a fact. or therefore when buying a product, we should ask to ourself, is this model what we truly like? or im just blind and bias with the brand??? |

I like the TT Patek, I think it looks great (though it comes after a full gold 5980) and I think the dark blue dial looks quite nice. However, at that price I'd rather go with a 5712 first (perhaps in rose gold as well, the leather band is stunning on that one). Therefore I'll be comparing the Panda to the Overseas, the AP looks very good with its bi-color dial and its size (looks like a 42mm case to me, I'm not an AP expert though) looks pretty good but it may be a tad too thick for my tastes, I think I'd rather go with the VC and get a thinner watch that would be, in my humble opinion, a tad more versatile. Besides, the grand guichet for the date looks great!

AP vs.... VC & PP
The PP was very comfortable, elegant and classy.
If anything, a full RG would look stunning (only available in a dark charcoal dial) Comparing my Panda to the VC OS... well, IMO, the VC takes a back seat. AP really does put out a far superior product. |

VC is no comparison, but that two tone PP is very nice. I still think that the Panda dial ROO is the best non LE produced!

I am not a big fan of the bicolor PP. The full gold one that was introduced this year is badass though.

Panda looks the best to me. TT PP just a bit too much of a mix of colours, esp the bracelet, would prefer the SS or ofc RG.

AP, VC then PP on this dial color. If its 5980R it's different story.

Guess I'm in the minority, but the only watch I'd wear out of those 3 would be the overseas

All three are great, but my preference would be for the Offshore, then the Overseas and then the Nautilus.
I like the Offshore for its design and also for it being one of the first, purposely oversized watches. I remember when it was introduced in '93 - it created quite a stir. For me, the Overseas is a tad too much "me too" in this category of steel luxury sports watches from the traditional Big Three. I actually prefer the old, much smaller, Vacheron Phideas. As for the Nautilus, I like the design in general terms, but on this chrono, (1) the chrono pushers placement is just weird; (2) I really dislike the "bulls-eye" chrono register; and (3) I really don't like how Patek often make sub dials where the top of the sub-dial goes all the way to where the hands originate from at the centre of the dial. There needs to be some space in between the two. |
