Well, not bad for a first attempt.

Just stick with "Macro" mode and flash OFF.

For initial good results, place the watch on your desk. Avoid external light bouncing off the crystal. Then place the camera on the desk itself to keep it rock steady.....and gently depress the button. Don't pound on it too hard or you will get a shake.

A bit of practice should see you right. That's a damn good camera.

Good luck - JJ

Much better, Mike; but remember, you can also play around with the BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST buttons you have on your computer after you've finished cropping the picture.

And talking about cropping, try and focus more on the watch and less on the surroundings, unless the surroundings happen to be very picturesque.

With a close up of the watch alone, you can highlight the features of the watch better.

That pic above is good, but it could do with some cropping and a bit of brightness on the computer built-in software.

Try that and let me know how it goes. Have a bit of a play around and you should be fine after some intial drawbacks.

Good luck - JJ

You are certainly a quick study, Mike. The last couple of shots are very good.
