Trade up

Does anyone know who does trade ups for rolex watches in nyc?

What do you mean by trade up,most Rolex use the same movement based on the cal 3135 except the chrono range, so the only trade up is the price and style of the case or metal.

I think the OP may have meant trade-in. And many ADs who offer pre-owned Rolexes will make a deal including your old Rolex's wholesale value (or lower based on condition).

In fact, if your old one has great vintage demand, you may end up walking out with 2 new Rolexes plus cash

Which is why it's a good idea to get a couple of opinions to ensure you aren't robbed and realise the full value of the watch you are trading in.

I was not referring to AD's - just stores in general.

But regardless...just because a store has an AD status does not mean the member of staff dealing with a particular vintage watch (which they may have never seen before) will give the correct value. A second opinion is always a good thing.
