Some scratches on SS Sub-mariner bracelet

Hello all,

Sadly, I have to report my SS sub-mariner has several scratches on the sides of the bracelet. I really do not want to have to send it to Rolex for cleaning. Yes, they are noticeable. Any suggestions on how to polish them out w/o a Rolex intervention?

Don't bother.
There will only be more. Wear it and enjoy it.
Then, when a service is really needed, Rolex will send it back looking like new again.
Otherwise, a simple buffing can be done...

Well there is a DIY process if you'd like to try it.

For a brushed final finish, use a Scotchbrite pad and make smooth straight passes over the sides of the bracelet links with the scratches.

If you have a bracelet with polished edges, a Cape Cod Cloth can help polish them out (or reduce their appearance) and leave a gleaming finish.

Scratches are a fact of wearing any watch and all scratches are best left to normal routine service time. The best way to ruin any Rolex watch is wanting to polish every time you see a scratch.Once watch is serviced it will be as good as new only to get scratched again with normal every day wearing.

Use a Cape Cod cloth - polished surfaces only. It's pretty dumb-proof and you'll get decent results. Now you don't want to use it daily or weekly. But using it a couple times a year will keep your watch looking new.
