They look different for sure, watch looks original otherwise though.

From what little I know he seems to be a good guy on a few sites but:

Pointed crown guards would be a little late for 1.6 mil, more like 1.2/1.3 mil - unlikely but this is Rolex so.... If it is an original PCG they command a better price than not.

I would definitely want to see more photos

Looks like someone repainted it, the watch looks okay to me (I could be wrong but besides the date and perhaps the word Perpetual I don't see any reason to be suspicious) but it seems like it may have been worked on. The ad states that RSC relumed the watch but who knows, somebody may have asked another person to work on the dial and date wheel before.

The seller states, "The dial, bezel and bezel insert, crown, jubilee bracelet with 502 end links, hands are all original!"

The seller has been misinformed about this watch.

The watch is cobbled together with mismatched parts. The tags box and tags are not correct.

Dial should be gilt and it currently is fitted with what they refer to as a Mark I , circa late 1960's. Date wheel is not original - have no idea what it is!!!! Hands have been replaced and the 24-hour hand should be the small version. Jubilee bracelets weren't are GMT's during that time frame.

The seller needs to adjust his listing accordingly.

Thank you all very much for this info. Very much appreciated.

Again, I have minimal to none info about vintage Rolex timepieces.

The previous owner did say the mfg year is 1967, and when searched a site, regarding g the serial I thought it is 1963. I had confusion there.

I will contact the previous owner and correct any mistake on my sales post as soon as possible.

And again, thank you all for your inputs, very much appreciated. Please continue letting me know if you think there are some more mistakes on the post, and I'll correct all of the mistakes immediately.

Very best regards...

No apologies necessary. That's what the 'Watchout' section is all about.

Dear CrownMe, I'm grateful to you and Springer for avoiding me from a big mistake.

I'm heading home now, and will get back in less than an hour.

I rushed home to contact the previous owner and withdraw this sale.

I would like to thank those who informed me (John) and who criticized this post constructively. Very much appreciated.

Here is the withdrawal post:

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...80#post4433080

I am very sorry to interrupt your happiness and joy by withdrawing this item from sale, Ronnie. My embarassment shouldn't have made you this happy.

Kevin didn't apologize from me, he showed a very noble gesture by saying one of those very kind and magic words "Sorry" to make sure he pointed to this very unfortunate mistake I did unknowingly without hurting my feelings.

We all make mistakes, and those who have more knowledge teach and correct and shed light to those who know less or nothing.

John and Kevin and others did this. You didn't.

Sale post was removed. Thank you all very much for your helps to correct mistake before it got bigger. In fact, someone was about to purchase it, now I will inform him the actual condition of this piece which I know better now.

And for the future, the person who makes mistakes on his sale post may be PM'ed first before putting the matter into Watchout section right away. Only an opinion.

Very best regards . . .

did i miss something? Ronnie wasnt happy about your embaressment. he was just stating that this is purpose of this section. As far as a PM, i didnt know 100% if i was right so i posted here. good luck with the sale. i would def contact whoever sold it to you because i think they got over on you if you paid what you had in the ad.

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for your reply.

I traded my Sub Ca. 1969 with this GMT 1675. That was my first vintage Rolex, and this was going to be my keeper since I love the Pepsi and drilled lugs combo a lot.

However, after seeing a very nice vintage (All original this time!) timepiece (A different brand) I decided to sell this one to fund that piece.

I purchased the Sub on this forum from a very reliable member, but I got the GMT during a face to face transaction / trade.

After seeing the beer drinking icon, I thought Ronnie was happy (Of my embarassment). I may be too sensitive.

Thanks everybody, very best regards . . .

No need to apologies! You did the right thing and the seller did the right thing. We all make mistakes it is good it happened here so the seller understands that his watch was not correct and no one got hurt from a bad sale. Thanks TRF and John for his infinite knowledge on the most awesome of watches the GMT!
Have a great day all!
