Can't change bracelet on Tudor BB...argh!

Hi all,

I got a Bergeon 6767...tool fits right, just seems like i cant remove it no matter what i do, it never really pops out. Seems like i really need one of those tool that can do both sides simultaneously...is there a trick? there are no lugs, of course...

tks

Leather strap or metal bracelet?

I have a Bergeon 6767 as well as a generic tool from Ofrei. I use the flat notched paddle side of the generic non-Bergeon to remove my leather strap from my BB. You just need to trust the tool, push it in past the leather and grab the spring bar (it's a simple spring bar, nothing fancy).

I also have a Bergeon tool that has a much smaller notched pin. I use that for smaller areas like reaching into my GMT metal bracelet to release the spring bar.

There are a couple of Youtube videos and I saw a tutorial on another forum on how to get the bracelet off a Pelagos. There is a trick to it. I think you can Google search that as well.

Need more practices, I used to struggle removing bracelet, now I simply use a normal flat end mini screw driver.

Cheers

Try this:

With the watch in your hand, with the back facing you, pry the spring bar. But with a finger or thumb, give gentle pressure upwards (towards you) from the face-side of the end links.

You'd think Tudor would supply at least brief instructions and maybe even a tool, considering how they play up the bracelet options in their ads and store displays.

I had a hard time at first with my DSSD. You have to put pressure with your thumb and index finger. The tolerances are very tight. Patience and a little pressure.

See, see......if the watches still had lug holes it would be a snap.....a toothpick, a paper clip....voila, job done without expensive tools......bah humbug, from a tool watch to a jewel watch.

Hmmm, I have not struggled with removing my spring bars on my GMTII-C or my Tudor BB at all. Once you have the technique, it's easy.

Putting them back on is just as hard with lug holes or without. It only varies by watch style (end links can sometimes be a PITA).

Seems a non-issue to me.
