There are a few members of my country club that I see wearing their DD's all the time, that includes while golfing

My grandfather has worn his since the day he bought it. I think it has been 30 years or something like that, he doesn't even take it off when he sleeps.
He does everything with it from mowing the fields with his tractor, any type of construction he might need around the house, and yes even swimming!!!!!.

If you want to wear it everyday it will hold up =)

Your Grandpa sounds like my kind of guy. I think us old school types bought Rolex's to wear in any kind of situation.

Wear it everyday... Rolex even put ALL the days of the week in it for that purpose.

I'll eventually be in a WG DD or Daytona on a brown leather strap.

Just don't wear it mountain biking, friend had some damage to movement from the vibrations/shocks.

I'd say that's good advice for pretty much any mechanical watch...

my next aim is a ygdd , and its for daily wear .
seems once the initall stretch is in the bracelet they get very cofy and seem to settle
or so i was told. but i was also told by the ad that the hidden clasp needs changing every second or third service , but the tuna clasp seems to last better ..

I bought a DD in 2002 and I wore it every day for 4 years. Rain, Shine, Snow, Boating and Swimming, did it all and it never failed. Rolex serviced it and polished/detailed to new condition and replaced the bezel with a new one. I sold it for what I paid. I moved on the bigger watches and I replaced it with my Panerai favorite a YG PAM 140.

I'll wear my 1803 for a month at a time. It hides scuffs on the bracelet better than my SS 16610.

As much as I love the YG DD/DD2 in a service business dealing with clients , for me, it would be hard to pull off. They are already complaining about the hourly rates and fees we charge. The SS Daytona sort of flies under the radar.

Father in law has worn his everyday since 1986 when he bought it new, has only taken it off twice for service. Still looks amazing

I think to some the YG DD looks the "the" Rolex. The sports models tend to fly under the radar a bit more. I wouldnt wear one everyday in my job but I dont think there is anything wrong with it.
