I cant tell you how many times I heard the same thing over and over when I would go into many AD's all over the midwest and talk pepsi/coke....when these watches were in the case they just sat and sat, and were a hard sale, only when they were discontinued did crazy demand begin. I think Rolex is cognizant of this fact and leary of the past. Its going on 7 years now......

Makes no difference to me. There are so many Rolex watches I like now I could never own them all anyway. I like them old and new and I'm always lookin forward to seeing what's around the corner.

This forum would become moot if we didn't have things to discuss, debate, analyze, and dissect.

There's many many things to discuss, debate, analyze and dissect besides a wish that Rolex would resurrect a few watches that are long and gone!

But if it pleases you dream on dreamers! Just don't hold your breath...

Hmmm..

I guess that reinforces my thoughts. Did anyone buy those fruity looking day dates in the first place. A mistake in bringing back the dead. Especially those

I don't think they should ever bring back any model but if they did it should be Paul Newman Daytona! A real Classic.

Just my two cents.

I think that variations on the GMTII bezels will boil down to a matter of physics and there are many Basels to come.

Rolex has killed models and brought them back. The Milgauss started in the 50s 6541 era, came back as the 1019, then came back as the modern piece. The Submariner is essentially the same watch for the past 60 years...

Rolex isn't anything without its history.

Only a few models can be traced back, without a production gap. The two oldest models are the AirKing and DateJust. Both joined the catalog in 1945. You have to wait a decade for the Sub and GMT

Well see that's it exactly.

TRF is for allowing for discussion for those who have different tastes rather than shutting the government down because we can't come to an agreement.

I love it's history but why bring it back.

You guys are just educating me on how much I believe in this.

Again! Milgauss, another watch they should of left in the grave

But the fact is that they didn't.

Has anyone mentioned the Turn-o-Graph?

It'll be back someday, too.

I agree on leaving Milgauss in the grave. It was a way to bring more money in praying on a forgotten watch
