Sky dweller
I haven't seen many recent posts on this and I'm seeing them much more often in windows. Is it not selling well? Or is demand for high end rolex's not there? I'm still pretty tempted. On this site the rose gold is the most often pictured. Between the RG or WG which one would you purchase?

I would purchase the WG Skydweller, if I could. I think that's a really stunning piece. Not to take anything away from the RG, because it's beautiful as well.
Probably don't see many Skydweller incoming threads because of the price is my guess. Also, in that price range there are many alternative brands to consider as well. |

It will be a rare buy for quite a while methinks. After the "newness" wore off, the demand has seemed lower.

Beautiful watch in either metal, but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't selling well considering how expensive it is.

both for looks and for the type of watch, it's RG on strap for sure. it's a special watch, so, while i like the WG look, the RG is more "special", IMO.

I tried a RG version on yesterday, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.
It felt like a big clump of metal on that strap. |

The Sky-Dweller is one of the very few watches I'd prefer to have in white gold. I love the rose gold version as well but the WG one has a look that is, to me, very impressive.

Not my cup of tea even if it was in SS and at a reasonable price but out of the range the rose gold looks the better one IMHO.

I'm in the minority, but IF I had to choose, I'd take the WG.

White Gold is more discreet and classier for that model imho. The YG looks better on an alligator.

Anything other than WG would be too blingy and 'in-yer-face' for me and the bezel isn't that discreet either.

I tried all three versions and would go with RG as a first choice. The dial on that piece is very nice.

if you have $50,000 burning a hole in your pocket, sure why not. I think a SS version would be a smash hit. LOTS of precious metal markup in that piece.

Definitely prefer the RG out of the two. I have no idea how it is selling but $50,000 plus puts this watch in a whole different category in terms of affordability. Of course there are buyers out there but the pool of perspective buyers definitely shrinks at that price point.

I really like this piece in WG. I agree with others that the price for this piece and competition from other brands are the reasons why we don't see a lot of posts.

Frankly, at 50k (or even 37k) I think it'd be hard to justify a Sky-Dweller (or any Rolex), given the other brands you'd be into in that range. Again, short of a lottery win this is all academic to me anyway. It is a pretty watch... |

I think it's one of the most beautiful rolex's...
Especially in RG.

...and even its name is cool. A ton of romance in that name - makes me think of some futuristic Art-Deco flying machine from a 1930's serial.
