Icon7 iPad Air - Anyone picking one up today?

Just did a pick-up at store order for the new iPad Air. Said it's in stock and will receive email in a few hours when ready to pick up at local Apple Store TODAY .

Well this will be my fourth iPad, currently own iPad mini. I like it, but it's just a little too small. The older iPad was just a little too big. From reviews, I hear the iPad Air is ideal.

Will post pics as soon I as pick-up later today.

Looking forward to your thoughts on it. I'm still waiting for the 5s to get in stock!

I'm still with iPad 1. Haven't really felt the need to upgrade, as it only works as a remote control.

The 5s was a bit of a disappointment for me. Spec wise, it's a lot better than my 4s, but. It feels so much cheaper. It's a lot lighter, it rattles, and the screen is loose.

Rattles? The screen is loose?

That's a first! I have one and it's nothing like you are describing.

I still have an iPad 1, not as a remote control, but as my only computer and I'm typing on it now...

Same with my iPhone. I still have the 3Gs.

I don't like change for change sake so I'll stick with them until they fail at which point I'll upgade to the newest/best model available at that time.

Huh...I am also looking to upgrade from a 4s. I would bring it back if it rattles and has a loose screen.

Nice, Paul! I just picked up my Space Grey Air 64GB with Verizon about an hour ago. I am coming from a Mini and an iPad2. This one truly is the best of both worlds. Enjoy!

Look on Google and you will find others who are experiencing my same problems. According to Apple, these are not problems. The rattle (it's the power button) and loose screen are within Apple's tolerance so they will not replace it. It's very obvious that the 5/5s is cheaply made compared to the 4s.

Eva and I are both on the iPhone 5... I've been telling her, "don't you want the Gold one?" She claims no. As It "doesn't do anything my current one does".
How right she is!

She has also seen trough my shenanigans and said "you can get the gold one for yourself, I know you want it! You don't have to feel bad."

How the HECK CAN I BUY ONE NOW?!?!

sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread

i was just letting Wes know that his statement was wrong

but, to be on topic, no, i'm not picking up an iPad Air, as I have the ipad "3"

not enough new features to warrant an upgrade just yet

Wow you need to go see one. Super light, easy to hold in one hand now, fast chip, super fast wireless and the retina is to die for. Guess it depends on what new features you want.

I would like an iPad Air, but my current iPad w/retina is working fine, so can't justify the expense.

I don't need one, but I want one. Kinda like the watches we have, don't need a Rolex but they sure do work well.
Please keep he info coming on the Air so I can talk the wifey into letting me get it! ;)
