Why people never wear two watches

Why people never wear two watches on each of their wrist? Watch is also an accessory should be able to wear on both wrist. Any thought?

1 watch per person. I just don't see why you would want 2? 2 time zones?? Get a GMT or Expy

If I had a very large collection of, say, 10+ watches, then I would wear two at a time.

Interesting reactions. I have a friend back in Denmark and he has worn two watches for as long as I can remember. His rationale is that a watch is (one of) the only pieces of jewelry that men can wear and get away with it. He is a watch-fanatic (which everyone in here probably can relate to) and even though I found it a little odd when I met him 15 years ago, it seems pretty natural now. It has become his trademark and it obviously has nothing to do with 2 timezones etc - it is purely a "jewelry"-thing.

Sorry Lars. It seems that your friend has crossed the thin red line.

Why do we wear a watch on the LEFT wrist? If one is right handed (majority of population) that seems to make more sense. But folks who are left haded and wear their watch on their right wrist need a left handed watch.

"Person with one watch always knows time - person with two watches, never quite sure..."

Maradona seems to like perfect symmetry.

The only person I ever saw that wore two watches and was "justified" was Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf.

Well, in that picture it looks like he's got THREE hands, so I guess two watches are justified!!

Uuummm.... I used to wear 6 watches.....

Remember when Swatches were "cool"? You take 3 of them and link them end to end to make one giant long watch train and then wrap it around your forearm. Or just wear like 4 on each arm.

What the heck were we thinking back then?

The First Swatch I saw was my fathers, he used to travel a lot and he brought one from a trip he made to NY. It had Black case and strap with white face, it looked like a mickey mouse watch!!!, this was back in 1983 o 84, I know that the first Swatches were released March 1st 83 in Switzerland!!! so he actually may have one of these first editions, the best part is that he still has this watch and still uses it, along with a Bulova which I gave him as a birthday present back in the mid 90's.

Why do you not wear two watches? Because one of them will always be wrong.

HOWEVER...

Astronauts have been known to wear two or even three watches. One for "mission time" (Houston), one for GMT, and possibly even one for their home time zone so they know when to make the phone call to their family. (I *just* read this in an article in an old issue of Watchtime magazine about "watches in space" - I think it was June 2006?)

Schwarzkopf is probably wearing two watches because he wants to keep track of "Iraqi time" and "Washington time".

Maradona may have a similar reason to wear two watches... or maybe he does so because he is a show-off coketard.

Cheers

d.
