I too have a love/hate relationship with it: I absolutely love this model, and hate that I don't own one! :)

Enjoy! Looks like you've got a well-rounded collection there.

I think it looks awesome on you, and prefer it over your PAM and GMT.

looks good but from what I can tell you think perhaps its a little too large?

Maybe you should try a 15300 when you get a chance and see if that fits any better to you

What I was thinking but was afraid to mention. It's all good.

Oh, regarding the 15400, there's nothing to hate.

I honestly think looks really good on you. It's funny, I to sometimes feel like ROs look better in pics or on others than on me. Seeing this thread helps me realize that'd is probably mostly in my head.

Watch looks awesome. Just in those pics, have to be honest, somehow it looks big on you. But pics can do that. I'd be really concerned about your steering wheel being installed on the wrong side though...

Thing is, if you take a close-up wrist shot it really blows the watch up out of proportion. If you take a shot like the one above and then take another from like six feet out, you'll see the watch as others will see it, and it won't look as large as in the photo in your first post.

You feel this way about 15400 when you have a Panerai in your collection?

Panerai is supposed to be oversize. Therefore they're commonly worn with straps to salvage the weight.

Big is big, doesn't matter what watch it is. If the Pam is not too big and chunky on you, then the 15400 sure wouldn't be.
As far as weight, I don't have the exact numbers but I'm sure the difference is minimal.

Of course it matters what watch it is. U wouldnt want a dress watch which is too big and a sport watch which is too small..

I suppose, but the 15400 is not a dress watch.

15400 is not a dress watch. The RO was originally designed in the 70s as a luxury sporty steel watch.

Yup. It is not. But still dressier than the ROOs though.. with all its bling and polished metal.

I think it looks good but what matters is what you think. If you are not comfortable wearing it, then get rid of it and buy something that makes you happy.

Actually it's really pretty much fully brushed; if for example you compare the percentage of the watch's surface that's actually polished to that on your GMT IIc, it's no contest...and even more so with any given Breitling, neither of which are dress watches either.

I think you're maybe using "dress" when actually you mean high caliber finish out, or if you prefer, "bling": technically speaking, "dress watch" denotes a specific style of watch, with leather strap a must-have, small face, thin, rather dainty compared to any of yours in fact....so while the 15400 can be worn with a suit (as can a GMT IIc), neither are what I would call "dressy" in the technical sense, though they are certainly of sufficiently high finish to go with upscale attire (and yet versatile enough to go with jeans, one thing I love about both of them)...but anyway, that's neither here nor there. IMO it looks fine on you, but you're the one who's going to wear it and needs to be happy with it, not me. If you truly dislike its fit, you might look into a 15300, which is a few mm smaller and might suit your fancy.

I'd recommend you give one some wrist time, however: personally I think one with the black dial might wear a bit small on you, so take your time, good luck!
