Yeah, the Stig was able to go FIVE seconds faster in the M3 than the AMG.
Some Benz owners won't admit it, but the M3 is the king of the track. Merc can pump all the horsepower into its cars all that it wants. Numbers don't mean much. tsome:

Have always been a big fan of the M cars but that new Benz looks great. I would still go after the M3 given the chance.
Thanks for sharing. |

Actually mercedes benz is trying to make it's car's look more sporty so that they can compete BMW. I think until now they are doing fine. For example compare all the old S class cars with the new one. The new one is completely different and more sporty

Agreed. I have a friend with a new '08 S63 AMG and another with an '07 M5. There is no mistaking the luxury inside and fairly stealth outside, yet still more sporty than past models. While the M5 is nice on the inside it is no Benz....If I were able to go car crazy I would love to have the M to drive daily and the S63 to be driven in.

According to the Greek mercedes benz forum the S63 amg engine is the biggest V8 naturally aspirated engine in the world with a cubic capacity of 6.3 litres and 525 hp. 0-60mph in just 4.6 which is brilliant performance if you consider that the car weighs approx 2 tons.
The S63 amg is one of the best cars out there

I'd kill for the MTM Audi RS4 Clubsport- just the sound of the supercharger gets me silly.

I agree the M3 is a sh!t hot car, I had one for 6 months (2004), but sold it because it was not worth A$160k.
Yes, it was a rocket, but as mentioned, not comfortable, a little awkward to drive, and not plush enough for the money. Bought a CL55 AMG. Man, that was a very nice car. Went hard, and a sweet drive. Sold it a little while ago. Can't justify that sort of money on cars anymore (lose too much at sale), however watches is a different story. John. |

You can tell from the screen name and picture where my heart lies....I've look at BMW's several times and the interior just isn't up to par with the Benz.
