Tudor Heritage Black Bay Impression
Went into an AD for a different reason, but while there I handled the Black Bay and the Advisor.
I wanted to hear/feel the Advisor alarm in person and was underwhelemd with the alarm or the reference. It had a less then expensive finish to me. Hated it really. The Black Bay was a completely different story. Really sharp looking watch. Finished perfectly. I found it to blow me away in person - way better then pics. I still wouldn't buy one as I don't quite get it. I would still just get a rolex instead. That's it. |

Thanks for sharing that. The BB is a fine watch. I had one and loved it.

Agreed. The BB was impressive. I was checking one out last Saturday.

I love mine. If it had Rolex on the dial people would be going crazy over it and probably paying 10k for it.

Seems like quite an argument to buy one. If I felt that way about a watch, the fact that Rolex was not on the dial, would not bother me one bit. |

I think the BB is one of the most interesting watches to be produced in quite some time. Is it a Rolex? No. Is it built with the same care, engineering, attention to detail and quality as a Rolex? Yes. And I agree, if it said Rolex on the dial, the price would be double and they would be back ordered. Folks should look past the name and really look at the quality Tudor offers.

I found the black bay lug width a little too wide for my taste. But the Pelago looks just right. :)

I know little about the Tudor line, but what I do know is that statement is quite a supposition upon which there are no facts.

I likes the Black Bay a lot. I can wear anything I want and today I am wearing my BB on a nylon strap. Couldn't be happier. Maybe a little, George is sending me some end-links...

If I were to buy a Tudor, and I haven't ruled it out, I would buy the Pelagos.
I am very impressed with it. |
