how to remove the wire lopp strap attachment on the Radiomir 183

Pardon my ignorance but how do you remove the wire loop strap attachment on the Radiomir 183? I see the four screws that release the wire loop but is the loop itself in two parts? Does it just pull apart or do you have to unscrew it?
I am so nervous about this strap change and I am sure when I know how to do it it will be a simple thing..but at present I am just not sure
