Speaking of heated Rolexes...
(or hot) I was at an AD who had some in his window under very hot lights.
They were too hot to touch for a couple of minutes. Can't have been good for them. |

'Eh, I dunno. Rolex once boiled a watch in their own advertisement once. I doubt any harm comes to the watch for being under the lights.

Not good fora watch.
There is a thread here about a member who decided to fire his lume up with a halogen lamp from memory placed just above the watch - he forgot about it and fried the dial and most other things. Boiling water has a stable temperature of 100C (or just below) at STP. Some heat sources round the home have much higher unstable temperatures. As a guide if a surface is too hot to touch for any length of time then it is above 70C.
