I have the note 3 and iphone 5
I like the iphone better, for reliability, I already switched 2 note 3's under warranty for the phone freezing up.. my carrier tech support couldn't figure out why.. so they just sent me a new one everytime, I did some updates to the software, still same thing. but with my new unit, all has been good for 2 months..still the hassle's I went through, if it wasn't a work phone, I would have traded for another iphone |

I have a Note 3 to which I upgraded from a Note 2. To be honest, I kinda wish I had kept the Note 2. I don't think I use the 3 to its fullest, really just don't have a need for the newer features. It is noticeably than any phone I have had in the past, but seems a little quirky every now and then and the "superior" camera does not work as well as the Note 2. I use the S-Pen on the Note 2 & 3 much more than I thought I would, I love that feature.

I have had two Samsung phones, a Galaxy S3 and S4, both have been superb, if my experience is anything to go by you ill not be disappointed, both have been flawless and the gorgeous screens have been superb and will be even bigger and better on your Note 3. After a couple of days you will wonder how you ever managed with a tiny screen.
Word of advice though, do not view it as an Apple device and don't expect it to do things the Apple way and don't think that the Apple way of doing things is the right way. Take your time with it and learn how to do things the Android way (Which by the way isn't also the right way, just different). It will take about a week before you will be fully up to speed. If you like tinkering, all this was done on a stock Note 2 just using apps from the playstore. I had the Galaxy S3 and an iPhone 5 for a month and gave them both an equal 2 weeks use, I fully expected/intended to keep the iPhone 5 after the month (I had previously had all iPhones from the iPhone 3GS) I sold the iPhone 5 and would not go back to iPhones until they have a larger screen and a back button amongst a lot of other reasons. My next phone will be either a Nexus 5 or SGS5. Enjoy your new phone Marc.

I been using a Note 3 for a month now. The big screen is a huge plus for me with my weakening near vision.

I owned the Samsung Galaxy S1, S2 and the Note 3 now. Note 3 is the best damn phone I ever owned. Its what I would class as a true multimedia device with speed and memory capacity to match.

So know I am stuck between both
Maybe just get a Note 3 see how it works out . . . and keep the iPhone 4S as a 'backup' HAGOne |

My brother-in-law just got the Note 3. It's a nice, big phone, but with Android, I always suggest going with stock Android. That means the Nexus 5 or some of the other Google Edition phones. I must sound like a broken record because I've said this in a few different threads, but stock Android is the best and is the closest that you will come to the iOS experience.

I have a Note3, amazing, love everything about it, the screen size is awesome and I was worried about that at first as I didn't want to be lugging around a small tablet. Now I couldn't be without it.
Plus, the camera rocks.. 20131211_111611.jpg Dock3.jpg |

Samsung Note 3 users on TRF ?
I would keep hold of the iPhone you have. I have never got on with samsung - and I've tried the note 2 and galaxy S2 (can't exactly remember which one - think it was 2nd gen). I use my phone for work a lot and the iPhone is way superior for me across the board. Each to their own. I have friends who swear by their Samsung offering. Btw - you'll find the 5s a huge leap from the 4. Good luck

Do you like Android (Google) or iOS (Apple?)... Once you know what camp works for you, then choose the phone. I have a Note II and love it. Had the iPhone from the start and gave up after the 4S. I'm a Google fanboy. I loath Apple.

Nicely said. When the iPhone first came out, I think everybody was blown away by iOS. I was. Apple has made small improvements over time and iOS has certainly gotten better, but it's more or less the same. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think Apple is having a hard time bringing new things to the table.
Android, on the other hand, was a steaming pile of ... ... when it first came out. I rejected it for many years, but they've really improved it. I enjoy it so much that I have an android phone and tablet. I hope Google is able to keep on improving Android. It still has a way to go, but I'm confident that Google knows what they're doing. It really is a wonderful phone. I love it. For the price, nothing else comes close. |
