A few more questions

First off is there any disadvantage of buying from say a member then a Rolex AD? I went to another AD here in NYC who will actually move off of list but it is still much more $$$ then grey market. When I visited Tourneau the other day they had some protection plan (forget the actual name) which covers 1 polish per year, coverage against accidential damage, and even an overhaul (I forget the details). Has anyone heard of this and or used this for repair? Just curious....more then likely I will not buy from an AD. Never in my life did I pay list and tax on a watch! lol AND I am not about to now unless you tell me otherwise.

Do any of you own any Breitlings? While I am set on a Rolex my next time around will be a Breitling! Am I allowed to say that on this site? Looked at a Chronomate and let me tell you, it was sick looking! So friggen nice!!! Does Breitling hold there value? Either way I assume not as good as Rolex, but just wondering.

Happy New Year!

good luck with your search. try on as many watches as you can at the ad then buy one from a trusted seller, you'll save a lot of money.

also i wouldn't buy a timex from tourneau, been to a few of their stores and what they know about watches you could fit on a thimble.

have a harry new year

What Fullcourt said plus if you can save on our beloved NYS tax, that is a HUGE bonus not to mention the discount you can get here. I know my next Rolex will be purchased from one of our trusted sellers! May not be for a while but you never know.........

Breitlings loose their value much more than Rolexes. However, the Chronomat with the B01 movement will hold its value much better than their other watches. Pick which one you like better!

I bought from a AD for my first Rolex but did get a nice discount. That being said now that I've been on TRF for a while I would buy from a trusted seller on here for sure. There are some great people on here. Good luck on your search.
