Boston area Get together 2014

Greetings folks! I'm thinking we should all meet up again soon, I know there was talk of October but I don't think it came together, I could be wrong?

Needless to say, I'm looking to talk some watches and see some local faces.

Perhaps grab a bite to eat and shop around a bit? Who knows, I can entertain you with my Rolex tech misadventures haha...

I work downtown a lot so I'm always in the area.

Perhap's when it's a little warmer?

I feel like that is too far away.

Absolutely! A little warmer would be nice. Maybe mid March or April?

April seems to be a good month, now we need to pick a date. I was looking at the calendar, how does Saturday the 12th sound? Meet up say around 2? Thoughts?

Ok, so the 12th it is!
Now, do you guys want to throw a few ideas around as to where to meet?
I'll go first.
How about the The Bar @ the Taj on Newbury St. I'm pretty friendly with the bartenders there. They have a great area in the lounge I can probably reserve for us. It's private with an amazing view of the public gardens.
It's also a perfect starting point for some watch gazing. Shreves is just up the street on the other end of the block and Lux is just one street over.

Not sure if I'll be in Boston that weekend but I'll certainly try to be! Would be great to see everyone again (and meet some new people)! In addition to European Watch Co., it would also be nice to go to Shreve's as we did last time, especially since they recently became an Audemars Piguet AD. Looking forward to hearing more ideas. Will keep all of you posted if I can make it.

I remember last time there were a decent number of PAM enthusiasts, so if I can make it, I may have to bring my new (to me) PAM219 Destro in addition to whichever Rolex I bring

Any interest in visiting Paul Duggan's place in the Jewelers Building? it's small, but kind of neat. He always has some choice vintage Rolex pieces as well as PP, AP, JLC, Panerai and the other usual suspects. It's kind of a long way to travel (downtown crossing) for just one shop.

I'd like to visit Paul, my buddy Jodie Brown has been trying to get me in there for a while.

Yeah lets see what the others say, cause if we're going to do it with 14 people we will definitely have to call him and give him a heads up. Saturday is a busy day for him so he may want to restrict the time or have us come up in shifts LOL, I don't think 14 people will fit in his shop

Definitely down for going to Paul Duggan's store. He's a great guy and his preowned Rolex selection is fantastic. It's a little out of the way compared to the other places and you are right it is a small shop, but if a group wanted to go I'd certainly join.
