No one? I really want to put a crystal on my 1675 that lacks the magnifier, but would feel more comfortable with a service dome rather than NOS.

If you are in the USA, I recommend contacting ABC Watchwerks. I feel pretty certain they would have a good solution for you. They do a fair amount of custom work and could likely customize a service crystal to fit your needs

They were originally offered as an alternative to the cyclops 116, but are no longer produced. So the examples floating around on 1675s are all vintage (and quite expensive!).

Yeah, those pesky importation laws would prevent me from sending my watch to ABC… That is a shame. Looks like a NOS tropic 38 may be the only way to go for me.

Thanks for all the help guys

I was very curious about that myself.Ive had my 1680 serviced by Dalton and the boys, but that was "pre-ban". I'm certain those guys can turn a 116 into a respectable 38

Even if one removes the cyclops from a 116, it won't be a domed crystal like the 38. But it'd probably look fine.

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but what do you mean by "pre-ban" dealing with sending watches into the US? I myself am in the US so it probably doesn't apply to me but I'm just a curious fellow.

It's possible to just sand off the cyclops from the 116, I've done it myself. Looks much better IMO but the dome effect isn't there like the 38.

Also sanded it off of my Datejust

It looks different. I'll grant you that. I prefer the look of the cyclops. When you see one, you instantly know it's a Rolex.

Great idea, Kyle! That should suffice until want to put down the 3-500 dollars for a t38

Which is partly why I want a dome crystal (and,of course, the awesome dome effect) over the magnifier .

However, the tropic 38 is a very slight dome, not nearly as high as an old tropic 19 for a Sub.
