Interesting visit at Foxwoods Casino AD
I was with some friends for a birthday event and I decided to stop in and check out the weight of the newer style presidents on the wrist.
I talked shop with a woman that worked there (About my age or younger) and she was very fun to chat with and nice/knowledgable. (I forget her name, I'm awful with that) She said I looked familiar when I got more into my watch knowledge as she pulled item after item from the case for me to check out. They have a great selection and she knew I was just browsing/more of a used rolex guy and was more then happy to not only show me what I wanted to see but even recommended I hold/inspect certain watches to compare. Eventually we spoke about this forum and she said she remembered my (And Rikki's!) epic thread on this forum http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...highlight=3035 and my picture is attached to my profile. How neat is that? Rikki we are infamous! Hahaha. Very cool. She also mentioned doing some watch tech stuff as a hobby on the side as well. I'd say drop in and say hello. It's rare for me to have a nice visit at an AD. She gave me a great rolex book too. I really wanted a white gold president which they did not have at the time and in the end DateJustRyan supplied me with one a few days later. Loving that weight! Also: It's fair to say I visited this AD once before and there was a gentleman that works[ed] there that is equally pleasant to deal with. Figured I'd post a positive visit since I read and experience a lot of horror stories. |
