weird question about watch winder for rolex/?

hello trf,

i'm relatively new to trf nd the world of luxury watches.
in fact, my first rolex was only purchased about a year ago.
I own a date just , 18k white gold bezel, stainless all original which is very beautiful.

anyways, the question that I have, is regarding the watch winder.
I possess a watch winder, and when i'm not wearing the watch, I leave it in the winder.

the only problem is, I know certain watches, the swinging/pendulum automatic only swings and rotates a certain way. long story short, I don't know if my date just requires me to set the watch winder to work
A) ONLY CLOCKWISE/
B) ONLY COUNTER CLOCKWISE/
C) BOTH CLOCKWISE AND COUNTER CLOCKWISE.

for instance, my bulova only winds when it spins clockwise, once I try to spin the watch counter clockwise, it doesn't wind up/power up the watch.

does anyone, can anyone help me who knows for a fact 100% that the watch spins either a certain way, or can rotate either way in order to power up the watch????

For your watch, both directions is best, for the even distribution of lubricants (winding rotor works both ways). Although as long as you wear it from time to time, it really won't matter.

Will not make a lot of difference but both ways will do around 650-750 turns a day should keep it ticking.But watches before putting on a machine should be fully manually wound up first if watch is stopped.But in the real world winders are not needed with any Rolex watch with a simple date complication.Now if they are not needed to tell the time on the finest winder in the world most have two they are called wrist and what the watch was designed for.Just let them stop and rest when needed just wind reset and go takes all of 20 seconds and thats what the winding crown is for.
