It is the closest to the original 1972 RO. And the blue dial is to die for. Any blue dial RO (15400) is hard to get. They are only available at boutiques.

I was told by my AD when i bought my 15202 that in 20 years he had only received 3 Jumbo's, mine being the third.
Can't comment on the 5711 but have heard similar stories of people finding them at AD's. |

Purely my humble opinion, but the 15202 has an exceptionally balanced dial and design, and it sits on my wrist better than any other watch i have ever tried on. I was able to try the 15400/15300/15202 all on at the same time, the 202 just felt better to me. If it didn't exist, the 15400 would rule, it is amazing! The 400 is a more robust both in case and movement and is perhaps more in line with todays fashion and trends towards larger watches, so it is certainly not a one size fits all scenario. Additionally there is a second hand that some desire and a quick set date to consider |

Try your nearest AP boutique. ( Not AD but boutique opened and managed directly by AP ). They usually have first priority in allocation of desirable pieces like the Jumbo.

I do. Here is the 5711. And in the next post the 15202. I love them both equally, like my kids!

I saw one in the Malaysian AD and another one in the Singapore AD last December. Both AD's also had the RG version (not skeleton).

It's an amazing watch...but I'd take the 15400 and a 5711 to cover both bases (of course unless you could swing a 15202 and 5711).

My first AP was a ROO RubberClad which was back in 2008 and then AP ROO BumbleBee in 2010 in 2012 I sold them as I got fed up with the design(too big and chunky) on my wrist.
I settled for a more mature and subtle looking watch, which is the 40th anniversary Royal Oak Jumbo Extra Thin. Its a very subtle watch, very classy and sophisticated looking without being in your face.
