116613lb vs Blue YM vs JLC Reverso Duo
Hi all
I had a great Friday today trying on these 3 pieces. Photos and brief comments below on each timepiece. Which one do you think would be a good addition to my current collection and why? (my collection shown in thread below) http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=335525 116613lb - A very nice watch. The blue is much lighter than I anticipated but to me its better than the flat blue. The blue on the 16613 is still unrivalled but the improvements on the ceramic version far outweigh the dial colour issue - the watch just feels more solid. YM blue dial - This surprised me - an impressive watch. Less flashy than the two tone sub and again a lovely blue dial (different to the two tone sub). JLC Reverso Duo - Gold version is shown but I would buy the steel version. A very elegant and useful watch. Two stunning dials, a GMT function and a beautiful double clasp. For me it's between the 116613lb and JLC in steel with the JLC just edging it due to me already owning 2 Rolexes including a 16610 Sub. It's actually a much tougher choice than I expected, they are just very different watches. Hope you enjoyed the brief comparison and any comments are appreciated Anuj |

I think you're going to enjoy the JLC more than the others.

TT sub for me. But I think you are looking at two very different watches. Do you want a solely dress watch, or a sport and dress watch? Do you want a watch you would wear into a boardroom, or one you can wear to the beach as well?

Fair point - but I already own watches for every occasion, this is just an addition to be rotated just like the other watches depending on what I am doing.

Just sold my YM Blue but kind of regretting it. It was a really pretty and comfortable piece. Unfortunately, I vowed to never re-buy a departed piece:-(

As big a fan of JLC as I am I just don't care for square watches (sorry Mike) and I've never been a fan of the YM so...

The Reverso. You already have a Sub, and the JLC is like getting two watches for the price of one.

Just saw the sunburst in the flesh today, for the first time. Wow.
That's going to be my vote. |

Reverso
It has a really useful function. It's an icon. They've been producing Reverso's since 1931. You can dress them down very easily. I put mine on a cognac colored croc strap with cream stitching for the summer. Looks good with jeans as well as a suit. Is an under the radar watch. If someone stops you it will be a real watch enthusiast.

I'm thinking if I bought this then the 16610 would get very little wrist time. I'm going against the grain of the poll and leaning towards the JLC. I'm surprised the JLC got as many votes as it did considering this is a Rolex forum - this tells me it's an iconic watch in its own right. |
