Blue 116619 bezel/dial on SS bracelet?
I know it is heresy, but has anyone put the blue smurf dial and bezel on a SS bracelet from say the 116710? It would give the same look at a fraction of the cost. Just curious.

I think someone modded their 116610LN with blue dial/insert and polished their bracelet. It may look similar but WG looks a little different. Even if no one else knew, you'd still know it was pretending to be something it wasn't.

Agreed. It would make me sad since the smurf is one of my grail watches

There was one for sale on here not too long ago. I was considering buying it, but even though its all genuine parts, it just seemed like a fake watch to me.

I wouldn't do it. Like others have said you'll know what it really is. And if it ever needs service or you decide to sell it could make it tougher.

I saw that one for sale a while back and thought it was awesome.
I get the fact that some may think of it as heresy, and I get it and respect that. But I tend to look at it as the same as when I change my GMT from Pepsi to Coke or my LV Sub insert from the green to the black. I spend the money to buy OEM Rolex parts and switch them to mix up my line up a bit. Just my I do love the model 116619 and to be truthful I've been hesitant to get a gold watch because of how I wear my watches freely in any and everything I do. |

No, it would not give it the same look. WG and SS look totally different.
