purple submariner

hey guys what do you think of this purple submariner that was auctioned a while back were it not made of white gold would you chose it over this one ? (my lovely sub )

that thing looks terrible. The dial has all sorts of nastiness going on around the lumes (unless thats some sort of reflection). Plus why in the world would someone want a "Barney" Sub

i think but all i know is that it is a vintage that dates back to around 1970

I like the color, it reminds me of tropical blue/purple dial of a 1680/8. Please educate me, is that the look of the newer bezel design? It doesn't look like the bezel on my 1680/8.

The only original purplish Sub I know is a classic Bluesy that has a slight purple hue.

I have seen some pristine perfect purple gold Subs that are amazing but of course price reflects that. I have also had the coolest caramel dialed gold Sub a few years ago also price sky high! So yes they are original Rolex and had color change dials that changed over time.
