Icon20 Whats the Safest Way to ship a ROLEX?

Any experience would be great to hear. Im selling my Rolex Air King M series on ebay now and am kinda afraid to ship it oversees if someone from oversees wins. I dont care how much the charge is, Im just afraid it cant be insured or tracked oversees. Even in the U.S....what if a thief wins and pays via paypal and he isnt confirmed....i might be in some trouble.

I'd suggest you go for USPS Registered Mail. It IS slow, but very secure since every person handling the parcel has to sign for it.

I actually sold my Breitling on ebay a few months back, and when I requested payment, it was actually a hijacked ebay account, with a hijacked paypal account. The account actaully had a valid name and address, but the seller requested I send the watch to Nigeria. I obviously did not, and sold it via second chance offer. My advice to you is to only try to sell it through the United States only. The #1 advice I can give you is, DO NOT send the watch unless the money is in your back account. If it's a personal check, or even money order, wait until it is absolutely without a shadow of a doubt cleared in your account before you send the product. I can not stress that enough. Many thieves make counterfeit money orders and checks that look like the real deal now a days. As a seller sending it to an international country regardless of the country, either it is an obvious high scam country like Nigeria or Indo-Asia, or even a economically friendly country like England or France. Many sellers do not have any chance of recovering money from an international scam. Try to keep the sale within the United States ONLY to safeguard yourself.

Yes you grab the Insurance form from your Local post office, anything you want to insure above $100 you have to pay more for I believe.

yeah i know, but times right now are hard for me and really need the cash. Im a newlywed with a new home and new car and need the money bad. Anyways, the company awards one a year based on sales and i am already on pace to get another...if it keeps up i plan on getting one per year and starting a collection!

I personally think the safest way to ship a Rolex is in a box! Gee, some people ask the silliest questions.
