to me the flat blue seems a bit more casual but I could be wrong :)

Not crazy ... if you like it, go for it. I like them both equally and I agree with you, the Sunburst looks more formal.

Both are nice in different ways. I chose the flat blue 116613LB over the sunburst. Totally personal preference.

I have the sunburst on my 16613, but I agree with you, the 116613 looks better with the flat blue dial. There is a bit of a mismatch (to my eye) between the flat ceramic and the sunburst dial in the new version.

Yes, thought I would love the new sunburst but it didn't quite match for me so Im looking more at the smurf.

The Lacquer Blue dial looks far better on the Ceramic IMHO. They should never have changed it back to the past.

The sunburst looks good with the old school aluminum bezel but that's about it.

I'm a flat blue fan for the 6-digit generation, but, it's just personal preference and not a question of right or wrong.

One thing for sure is that after the initial sunburst excitement, the flat blue is making a come back.

Interesting that Rolex finally gave many of us what we had pleaded for and it didn't work out so well, I wonder if this might happen with the SS ceramic Daytona and GMTc Pepsi... be careful what you wish for perhaps...

I had thoughts of trading my Smurf tt Subc in for the new Sunburst a while back but decided against.
