Tightening Older President Clasp
Hello Trfers!
Quick question. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this? There is about 1.5mm of play on one side (the crown side) and about 0.5mm on the other. Should I just live with it? After some research I've found some seemingly benign tinkerings to attempt- One is to open the split "nub" and the other would be to slightly bend the actual blades of the clasp, similar to how an oyster bracelet is tightened but to ensure that both sides of the clasp sit flush. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm sure some of you have had similar first world problems.

Leave it alone or have RSC repair it.

I appreciate the advice but I'm determined to fix it myself. It was actually a lot worse when I first got it but I've managed to reduce the play to this point. Was wondering if there was one surefire way of doing it like the oyster. And before anyone asks, it was a good price and I was pretty sure I could improve its flaws without much hassle.
