Favorite Submariner model, and why?
If you had to pick just ONE model of an all-stainless (with date) Submariner produced in the past 30 years, which model would you pick? And why?
Assume all models from which to choose are in excellent condition, needing little to no servicing. |

I know, I know, I have used this pic before, but it really does say it all!
Glidelock clasp, awesome thick lugs, maxi dial, ceramic bezel.. A modern wonder IMHO.

16610. I don't care for the case on the 116610 model.

Why limit to SS?
I take the 18Kt bluesy over any other Sub. |

Nothing against the TT or 18K models. The question I asked was just to satisfy my own curiosity regarding which SS model(s) from the past 30 years are the most desired. And what attributes those models exhibited that make them more sought-after...

For the SS models the 116610 with all the new "upgrades."
Favorite Submariner model of all is the 116618 YG blue dial. IMO the best looking Rolex ever made! |

Given that criteria...I wouldn't pick any.
EDIT: I'll go with a 16800.

I'd pick the best model... a SubC, of course.
If I could get something older than 30 years, I'd choose a big crown Sub. |

Red 1680 for me. Most comfortable sub that I have owned. Rich history and Plexi is Sexi of course!

Why exclude the No Date, aka the Submariner? Really! This 14060m is my favorite, although it wouldn't say 'no' to the WG.
