Rate my band stretch

I know my jubilee band is stretched but how bad I'm not sure. I plan on sending it to Michael Young soon but waiting to here back from them. But my question is should I do this asap or can I wait a month or two? This is not my daily wearer and sees wrist time about 1-2 times a week. Thanks.

Some, but its uniform. No really weak/badly worn links noticeable yet and no sharp curls. I'd just keep it clean and keep on truckin' for another year or two.

Does anyone know if the bracelet is only fixed or is it also reinforced so that it doesn't stretch as much or at all once you get it back. Just curious.

Have to agree it appears to have some time before a resto...
...but I would take it off and look closely at the spring bars to assess them - and change if they are scored or very old.

Also, might as well look at the wear pattern on the two ovaled bracelet links on either end that nest into the end links. Those two links on each end get the most exercise.

I'd be brave enough to say that with gentle care you have a couple of years left on that bracelet.

Take a look in the for sales section where there's a DD described as mint.

Definitely worn, but has life left, especially since you don't wear it too much

Thanks that's good to hear, my Daytona just stays perfectly horizontal so I was a bit worried by 'the droop'

I don't think a month or two will make too much difference, but many people don't realize that the longer you wait to get it fixed, the harder it is to fully repair the bracelet. As the bracelet becomes more "stretched," some of the metal between the center and outside links can wear down, and this shows even after Michael Young fixes the band.

Basically, I say repair sooner rather than later. It's a cheap fix and if you send it when there's still a bit of life left in the bracelet, it'll come back looking especially good.

Agree with the not too bad votes. But if you're planning on sending it in anyway I would go ahead and do it now.

It has more stretch to give but if it were mine and I had others to wear, I would send it in. Amazing considering the age.

I would say that your band is stretched enough for a trip to Michael Young.

Doesn't look bad yet. I would clean it regularly to stop the wear. I have a 20 year old DJ and its got plenty of life left. I wash it once a week with water soap and a tooth brush. It has not budged in the two years I have had the watch.
