BLRO effect on BLNR
IMHO BLNR demand will rise, after all you get a BICOLOUR bezel for 1/3 the price

No effect whatsoever over the long term.
It may temporarily increase demand for the BLNR because some people (who wanted a bi-color bezel) were sitting on the sidelines waiting to see if a SS Pepsi was going to be released. Now that the Pepsi is WG only, the two watches appeal to a completely different demographic so the demand for each will move independent of each other (for the most part). There are also people, who were interested in Pepsi or Coke only and will skip the bi-color altogether now.

I also think demand will rise because the metals look pretty close in the flesh. That 904L shines very well. I was at an AD recently all hot on the Wg blue sub and picked up the sub and the blnr in my hands, both looked just about identical. Only when I moved the watches a little in the light you could sorta see the slightest difference....if anything both salesman and I gave the nod to how great a job Rolex does with its 904L steel.( weight is a different issue)

The only effect is that the BLNR was the only child and now a prettier baby was born.

I'm more interested in production numbers, and of course it's a speculation on our part. Will production of the 3186 for the next year go to the WG models, and even YG being that the profit margin in way, way higher than SS. Might be harder to get a BLNR for a short time. Or maybe Rolex can crank them out with ease. Who knows, non of us. But being in business for myself I always wonder about these things, it's fun for me to think about.

Pepsi is great, but the BLNR is gorgeous nonetheless. It will still be in high demand imho.

Opinion: BLRO is amazing. BLNR is anything but settling. Both will be popular within their demographics. Both will probably be a little tough to get for the near future. Long live two tone ceramic bezels! They are magic.

Would be inclined to agree that in light of the significant price difference and target audience, they will probably run independently. I would also imagine that Rolex have the capability to turn these out simultaneously without significantly dropping production of either one, unless of course that turns out as to be part of their marketing strategy.

So who knows? My guess is initially it will help BLNR sales, but mainly from those loving everything about the new Pepsi except the price tag. Not that the BLNR needs any help.

I guess I'm in the minority. For a GMT C I'd choose the bleu noire over a pepsi every time.

I still love the BLNR, and the new Pepsi does not change that. I think more people will be opening thei wallets now that Basel is done.

Now they've done the Pepsi in white gold, there will not be a SS. That ship has sailed!
The BLNR is a fantastic watch though |

Woah Robby, only those who have never driven the fabulous mid engine Boxster say it is the poor man's Porsche. Check out all the journalist reviews that praise it. Lots of my customers who can well afford a 911 love their Boxsters and Caymans. Cheers, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
