It's April, but I'm no fool...

...Because my watch has a date function! I ended up flipping the Daytona shown in my avatar for a 116718. I really liked the Daytona, but have always been accustomed to having dates on all my watches so I never really warmed up to it fully. The Daytona is a great piece, but after flipping multiple chronographs I think I have finally learned they are not for me. (Except I still want a VC overseas chrono, guess i'll never learn! ) But I think this GMT has the whole package for me. I couldn't be happier with my decision!

I am really starting to like the all gold GMTs and Subs. Great looking watch.

Congrats! I'm a slow learner myself. I have bought 2 Rolexes with rotating bezels and flipped them both in 3 months. But now I find myself wanting a GMT...

A vintage Tudor chrono has a date.

As does the Vacheron Overseas chrono that I really like. However, I think my issue with chronos is as much the busyness of the dial as it is the lack of a date on many of them.

Yea, my brief ownership of a Daytona was because it had no date funtion. I won't have a watch without one. Good score. Gold is king.

No date - main reason why I never desired to own a Daytona, and likely never will for same reason.

Ya done good Caleb. Congratz on the great acquisition!

I feel pretty much the same about the 18K YG Rolex.
Except mine is the Submariner with the black dial/bezel insert.
