They stink. I had my first encounter with them today. Can't say I walked away pleased.

Been to RSC Singapore, I agree that they need to be more careful when customers bring their watches in for repair/service.

Trust me, I won't go into details.

High time that someone in HQ should know about it and put in the right service standards worldwide.

Wow, I dont work in manufacturing but I do work in a high tech industry and own parts of our quality system in my local business. It is hard to believe from a quality point of view there could be such a discrepancy between markets, if they are genuinely that bad. I think RSC is over priced and slow but you rarely hear bad reports on quality.

Well speak as you find had several jobs done by the RSC in Singapore but back in 1998-2000 and no complaints whatsoever.Like everything today there are good and bad workmen but in general all the RSC world wide do good work. But today with loupe mania and inspecting watches for the tiniest specks or scratch. And many blowing these so called faults well out of proportion Singapore RSC seems now to have a bad name.

i've read through some threads from a singapore based watch forum. there was another incident that caught my attention.

apparently someone sent his sub for regulation. and it came back with a deep scratch on the side of the casing. rsc singapore offered to polished out the scratch. upon collection, scratch was gone but one side of the lug became thinner. a simple regulation job turned into a major overhaul.

look at the lug where the crown is located.

On all Rolex watches like the subs the lug on the crown side has been thinner as standard on all the models for the past 50 years

thanks for the input padi. i was not aware of this. but here's a picture of my old 14060m. the lugs seems to be evenly distributed. i've only heard about the thinner crown guard.
