First Baby Scratch On My New SubC Date

Well, it was bound to happen. After 6 weeks, I finally got a little, baby scratch on the clasp. Maybe a Scotch Brite pad? I dunno. I know I shouldn't sweat it, but it's still annoying.

Send it to me. Scratches are a moot point as far as I'm concerned.

Must admit, I spit a little coffee at the computer screen when I read ^^this^^. Next time please forewarn if you plan to be this funny this early in the am. Good one.

As to the OP: Just like on a new car...the first scratch is quite worrisome, the next less so... and so on.

It is built like a tank, so wear the piss out of it and enjoy. If you polish it every time it gets a little scratch, in a few years there won't be enough metal left to wear.

Life goes on! Clasps will get scratched, no matter what. I'd wait on the scotchbrite...

A baby scratch on the clasp is no biggie. Don't worry about that.

That's a great conversation starter, I'm sure.

"Hey, guess how I got this scratch."

My feelings exactly. It is more of a "companion" than just a watch.

I also think this is part of the theory of "you wear the watch, don't let the watch wear you"

6 weeks before your first scratch...that's amazing...do you live in a bubble?

...or do you still have them stickers on...?

Excellent advice, the first one is always the toughest. There will be many more to follow.

That could be a new thread.

Is it safe to wipe your butt with your Rolex on?

No....apparently it's not.
