Rolex GMT Master Pepsi

Hi all,

I'm entertaining the idea of picking up this pepsi GMT for my first Rolex. My main concern is the band. Did the original GMT come with a jubilee band? How much would you value this watch at?

Thank you.

I believe that the Jubilee band was optional on both the 1675 and the 16750.

The oyster bracelet would have been the 7836 or the 78360.

Nice looking watch....but I am biased!

How much would it kill/hurt the value of the watch if I switched it to an authentic Rolex oyster bracelet?

The key is to keep everything consistent. The best value retention will be to keep the band year correct. Check the Serial numbers sticky thread to make sure everything is correct and consistent. Also. if you keep the original band and have two bands it will increase the value of the watch.

Well it's not a 1675. That reference never had a WG surround dial so a 7836 is out.

Put which ever you like. Both bracelets are options for the reference in the time frame suggested by the dial.

Thanks for the advice. Off the top of your head, how much do you think the watch is worth?

Is it a 16700. Great watch, you can't go wrong with a Pepsi.

Jubilee, Oyster or even a leather strap. It's all good.

Take it to an AD to have authenticated :) if it's the real deal, take it before someone else does!

Looks awesome on the leather! I've been thinking about getting a Pepsi and doing the same thing.

If you are really interested in swapping out bracelets you might find someone who would swap with you.

I got mine on Friday...

I can't tell about the bezel but the insert looks nice which means that for a watch that age it could have been replaced.
