Icon13 Just another price increase rumor thread...

…just to confirm that unfortunately indeed the prices went up in Canada as of today, May 1st, as predicted by the uninformed ADs.

SubC Date Retail: $9150
GMT2C LN Retail: $9050

add taxes and u're looking at 10k.

This probably has to do with currency adjustment but it sucks regardless.

Easy there... you are in US, not Canada.

As ken (steelerfan) stated the price increase was due to the Canadian currency.

My two local ADs have speculated a price increase any day now. 3 percent is their guess.

Its funny that you say that, my AD was told yesterday that he is getting an surprise visit from the Rolex Rep on Saturday, My AD don't have the new price sheets yet for the new SD 4000 and he thinks that is why the Rep is coming also.

I visited my nearby AD today and mentioned the Canadian price rise - the owner told me he has no such increase in sight.

That doesn't suck so much as Australian retail:
216570 $9,050
116613 $15,000
116618 $36,600
WG Daytona with meteorite dial $41,600

Does that mean the price of a used subC will go up as well? I have one that I'm going to trade in at some point, and I'm wondering if I should wait and expect more value from my sub c

It is a currency adjustment in Canada and has zero bearing on US where there is no price increase nor has there been for 2 years plus. Unless Missouri is a small town somewhere in Canada I think you will be ok.

Hey SteelerFan65
I was just wondering if your AD recieved the official price sheet for the new SD and GMT yet? Maybe the lack of any new price sheets are driving this price increase rumor for the U.S. My AD is clueless, I have gotten more info from you and the forum than they could have ever given me. When I do bring up to them what I have heard they always look at me like I'm making things up and when the info comes to pass, they sit an wonder how did I hear about that before them. So far for correct info : Rolex Forum 100% - AD 30 %

New ones will go up more so you are not going to make any gains that will be to your advantage!

The prices have been announced and your AD should know them. I have not heard of any rumors about price increases here in US. In fact Rolex said at Basel to US AD's that there will be no increase in prices in foreseeable future for whatever that is worth. As for prices in US: The BLRO is: $38,250 and the SD is $10,400.

The used market on BNIB and LNIB current models in Canada will take a bump up as well...it did when dealer margins were reduced by Rolex earlier this year, and it will again. Not sure to what degree that will drag old models with it...but in time, it will.

0.1% GDP growth will keep the ASP flat for a while.
