Vintage Tudor Submariner
Hi guys,
I am looking at buying a vintage Tudor Submariner that I have my eye on and I wanted to know your thoughts (i.e. pros/cons). Or would you recommend that I buy a newer Tudor Thanks |

Depends what you want. Do you want one that is new shiny and trouble & worry free in the pool? Go new.
Want want you have to be a little careful of but not depreciate like a Hyundai when the taillights go over the curb, get a vintage. If you are really drawn to the vintage that is the way to go.

I think the biggest factor might be the condition of the vintage piece.

I went looking for a Rolex 5513 and fell in love with the patina and walked out with this...
No regrets whatsoever, but now that I'm addicted I need to find a 16800. |

so helpful
this is the vintage section so most will say go vintage. But it depends on what you have your heart set on. If you always wanted a vintage watch go for it. Do plenty of research and find the best example you can afford. I prefer the rarity of a vintage watch over the massed produced ones. The only pro i see to buying a new one is being able to swim in it which i dont find to be very important anyway. With that being said i have owned a Tudor Black bay in the past and it was amazing. i really enjoyed the watch until the vintage bug bit. Good luck with whatever you decide. |

Vintage Sub.
You can purchase the 79090 or 79190 for around 3k with bracelet and about 2.5k head only. A flake can be purchased for about 3.5k(head only) or 4k with bracelet. Not additional premiums are added for the blue dial versions... From there the $$ you save can be your service funds for the next 10 years. With a Tudor there is little reason to service at the RSC since a most competent watch makers can service the movement. |

Thanks guys. I am looking at a 75090 Sub - any thoughts on this particular watch? What about the size as I read that they are 35mm instead of 39mm?

Does anyone own a 75090? What are your thoughts on the size of the watch itself? Would you recommend I go for the 39mm?

Are the 79090 more sought after than the 75090?

The 75190s and 75090 are almost the exact size as a men's daTejust from the 90s. They are great. They also seem to have moved up in price to about $2k. I would go for a 76100 full sized. These are the best deal out there.

If your paying chrono 24 prices you paying too much.
For a watch head only, you can get a blue Tudor 79090 for about 2.5k. If you want a bracelet the add another 700. Look up fatderek on watchrecon. Derek is from HK and I had a good experience with him. |
