TT Daytonas

I realize the SS Daytonas command a premium, but do you think they look $2K better than the TTs? Certainly the TTs have more interesting dial options, the same great movement and more precious metal.

Even after the recent price rise, the TT Daytonas are selling for $2,000 LESS than the SS models at Alan Furman. This is crazy.

Personally I think the TT is way better looking. Love the steel dial and the black dial with champaign counters But I have small wrists and 40mm does not look good on me so it is all academic.

I really, really like the TT Daytona with the white dial. It's a stunner!

But, already owning a TT Sub, and not wanting to worry as hard about scratching a SS Daytona bezel than I would an 18k gold bezel, I really would prefer the white-faced SS Daytona...

Personally speaking i am starting to like more the TT daytonas than the SS ones.

The TT definetely has a more rich look

I've been told to expect about $9k in trade for my SS Daytona. That means a TT Daytona for anywhere from $1,700 to $3,200 depending on the dial selected.

That's also $700 over what I paid for the SS (paid tax). Of course, AF wants $4,000 more for a SS Daytona than I paid.

Time to ponder this a bit.

SS not worth the extra in my book,

Numismatist you hit the nail right on the head, reminds me of this from Ovid

For the same price, TT is the much better option, and I prefer it over the SS anyway, particularly with the black or steel/slate dial

Allan...I love that watch. You have great choices in timepieces buddy!

If I was to buy a daytona I'd go with a preloved TT as it's not only the model I can afford (I love WG spacerock but way abopve my budget) but I also think it's a great looking watch.

As others have said, the dial options are fab and there is something about those polished gold bracelet links.

Awesome watch.

On Zenith models not the in house models polished now.
I like stainless or white gold better JMO. I don't like yellow gold jewelery either and my wedding band is white gold. just a matter of taste

I'd take a TT Sub (Blue) over the Daytona (SS or TT) any day of the week.
