Another vote for carbon here. I wouldn't be concerned with any real "problems" with FC. It's a great material for watch cases and most concerns most concerns seem to come from internet rumors.

Forged Carbon with ceramic bezel. It can take a serious beating and any hits it takes can barely be seen unless you use a loupe. I've had mine close to a year with regular wearing.
That said, the new ceramic anthracite dial is fantastic. I would skip the old ceramic - it shares the exact same dial as the FC. |

The ceramic costs so much more and it's a less distinct watch. For me FC. For the price of the ceramic I would move to RG or titanium Schumacher.

I prefer the RG 44! Tried it on today. Whoa! Not sure a watch could possess more wrist presence.
But to answer the question, I'll take FC.

I went with the Forged Carbon. Contrary to the post above, the case does not look mouldy. The case, when photographed or in sunlight, reflects light at varying angles and gives the unique appearance that you see. It is clearly black on my wrist.
Had I a ceramic available to compare, I might have considered one. They are rare in Toronto. So I went with what was in my hand. I think that in the long run, a discontinued watch that is this unique "may" have some additional appeal. The 44mm FC Chrono isn't discontinued, but following the FC Diver's example, it's anticipated. |
