Seconds hand stops at 12 when power reserve is depleted

Noticed that quite a few of my Rolex watches stop at 12 o'clock or just around 12 when the power reserve is depleted from not being worn.

I assume this is not normal, but guessing there's a logical explanation behind this?

Buy a lotto ticket or go play roulette.

No, it is not normal.. Your watch doesn't know where any of the hands are..

But the odds are only 1 in 12 that it will be close..

Thanks. I noticed that a few of my watches had stopped just around 12 recently, which made me curious. Thought there might be some extra tension just around 12 which would make the seconds hand stop when low on power. I'm obviously not a watchmaker

Sounds like it needs a service. They are supposed to stop at 10:10.

My chronos when left to run tend to stop at around 12.
