Just bumped into Grahame Fowler in front of his shop...

...here in the West Village. Immediately, we started talking Rolexes, and then I noticed that he was wearing a watch on each wrist...(of course). Then I noticed the tell-tale 'T' on one. So, I had to take a picture.
Absolutely great guy and will talk Subs till the cows come home. And his collection is nothing short of staggering.

He was also kind enough to offer to by my Sub off my wrist...with cash.

As much of a watch nut as I am, I never got why people wore two pieces...

One on each wrist? There is something cool and oddly amazing about rolling out with a watch on each wrist.

I love the "F it" signal that sends; however, at that point you are (I think) wearing them for fashion and to make a statement, right?

Cool pic. Thanks for sharing. : )

Yeah, Grahame's a bit eccentric and VERY much doesn't give a f*ck. I think it was more just for kicks and to be over-the-top on a gorgeous day here in the City.

Now, I'm tempted to go back and give him a price for my Sub!

Noticed he does not fold the end of the NATO. Is this a new thing?

Two watches, hmmm.

You obviously didn't ask him to roll up his trouser legs then... that's where he wears his Comexes and Seamasters.

Allegedly!

One watch on A wrist (singular )....

Or else it is a very, very bad look. If I'm so inclined I get my collection out when I'm home at put them on one at a time. Otherwise walk around with a sandwich board saying " I'm a watch nut " works with the opposite sex every time.

To be clear, he fully understood the ridiculousness of it. Which is why he did it.
He doesn't take watches as seriously as some.

I think he's just pining after an Explorer with two timezones, but has he's heavily invested in subs decided to wear two. One shows the time in New York. The other in Moscow, which is 12 hours ahead.. Very useful.

If anyone has an Explorer then you might want to mosey on down to his shop and see if he makes an offer you can't refuse.. then he can go back to wearing one watch.
