A question about Rolex Service Centers

I found a pretty decent 1974 Day-Date that I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on. The watch is on an aftermarket leather strap which isn't that big of a deal. I am thinking of getting an OEM Rolex strap, buckle and tang eventually. My question is will Rolex service just the watch head by itself or will they refuse because the original band is not present. I have only sent complete watches to RCS NY/Dallas so not sure how just the head being serviced will turn out. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Thanks Beast. It being vintage I could consider sending it to Rik also.

RSC should still have movement parts for your DD, but an independent like Rik would be more careful about keeping it original. I'd compare prices anyway.

Thanks for the info, David. Any idea of how much a Rolex leather strap is going for these days?
