Zenith Daytona "Paul Newman" (guess this deserves its own thread?)

Now this is interesting, never knew Paul Newman had a Zenith 16520, too. So how we're gonna call the model henceforth, Paul II ? And will that make the value go into overdrive?

(this photo was shot in november 2007 in mexico)

Need I mention Henry Gondorff was my childhood hero? Probably not.

Zenith Daytona is one of my favorite in the great Daytona lineup

I always loved Paul Newman (the watch and the man).

I'M more of a Steve McQueen fan, but I don't know if he wore Rolexes. He was cool, and he drove 911's and Ferraris, and that is enough for me.

Newman, to me, is more of the conventional guy. McQueen is the rebel. Both great actors and humans.

PS: Newman's performance in The Hustler inspired me to play pool for money during college. McQueen, and my stepfather (who owned one), taught me to love Porsches.

Well, lore has it, the reason Steve never wore a "Steve Mcqueen" is, he was always too stoned to find his on the nightstand.

Good thing our hero found his Lusso and the other moveable toys in the garage, though. Plus his 5512 was of course a much more suitable watch for the noble cause of going down

Butch and Sundance after hours.

"I swear nobody has a 1655 here, Sir. Mr. Hooker is sporting a 1680 white under his shirtsleeve, while I myself trust in Daytonas only."
