Need opionions: bronze Archimede pilot 39
I love this watch-- mechanical, beautiful design, love the patina effect of bronze (highly personalized finish over time), and less than $1,000. Also, 39 mm is much better for me (42 or 44, no way).
This watch has gotten some very solid reviews as well. I read that you might get a bit of green stain on the arm, which seems absurd for a fine watch, any opinions on the truth of this? |

You shouldn't get any stain from the watch because neither the case back or buckle are bronze...
Unless you have fluffy wrists and wear the watch extremely tight, no bronze should be touching your skin... |

Although I've never owned a bronze watch, I think they look pretty cool once they gain the aged bronze patina (which happens pretty quickly.. generally within a few weeks). Seems like a cool toy for less than $1k. I don't have any experience with Archimede, but I've got a Stowa that cost me about $700 four years ago, and it runs like a tank. Wore it all weekend actually. Quality does exist that price point. |
