Rolex 16610 "Y" serial box help
Hello All,
I just picked up a Submariner 16610 "Y" serial with booklets and papers but no inner and outer box. I'd like to purchase and box set to complete the set but I have been having trouble determining which box set is proper for my watch. I see boxes that are marked 68.00.01, 68.00.02, 64.00.01 and so on...... plus some box sets have a pillow some have a a band for the watch to wrap around (sorry, not sure of the proper term). Then add that some of the boxes have just a Rolex crown embossed offset in the lower right corner... some have a gold outline with the crown centered etc...... Any help would be greatly appreciated in identifying and finding the proper box set for my Submariner Thank you for your time in advance. Joe V Email: [email protected] |

You need this one. Issued from around late 1990s to 2005. Pillow was before this one. For the right reference number, just Google Rolex Box Numbers...there are a couple of lists around. Bear in mind that there is no "officially correct" box ref# for your watch as ADs just gave out what they had.

Thank you for the info and photo.... I take it that the top of the inner box is the all green with the crown embossed on the lower right corner?

No, that's the older one. The above should have the gold outline, mine (64.00.02) does anyway (top pic is not mine).

That's interesting, I thought pillow boxes were pretty much used up by around 2002. I do prefer them to the late clip style.
