Stiff Jubilee Clasp
Today I did a sonic bath for my 16233 and after attaching the bracelet to the watch head I notice that the clasp is a bit stiff. Both opening and closing the fold have some tension. Could it be simply because of the dirt pushed out of the bar or could it be more serious? Is there any way to fix it without shipping it out to Michael Young? If the clasp needs replacement, could Rsc sell me the clasp only without the whole bracelet set?

If somethings is truly wrong, a good watchmaker who is experienced with Rolex bracelets can adjust the level of tension you'll feel when snapping the clasp shut, and when reopening it. Sometimes it is a simple adjustment of the blades.
If it is truly in serious trouble, RSC will not sell you a clasp alone. But you have other options like sourcing a period correct clasp and reusing the rest of the bracelet. Just remember your clasp code will differ from the era of your serial number if that is important to you (of course, you may luck out and find an old one matching your general era but remember it could quickly fail too). The best solution IMHO is send it to Michael Young if the clasp is in real trouble. That way you'll have the best of both worlds - a truly "like new" bracelet in all ways plus all of it's correct parts.

It's fine, mine has some tension and way more than the floppiness of the 93150

Hi guys, I truly appreciate your inputs. I have washed it thoroughly and it seems that the tension is now gone.
